Bookshelf Decorating

Are your bookshelves junky and an eyesore?
Here are a few tips to turn the shelves into designer looking focal point in your room.

  1. Instead of lining all of the books side by side, try stacking some of them horizontally.

  2. If the book has a beautiful cover, showcase it by placing it on an easel.

  3. Group collections of accessories by similar sizes and color for a more uniform look.

  4. Arrange all accessories in odd numbers.

  5. Place some accessories on stacked books to create different heights.

  6. Bring all vertical placed books to the edge of the shelves instead of pushing them to the back.

  7. Leave some empty spaces.

  8. Shelves should be about 2/3rds full.
