Decorating Faux Pau --- Don’ts in the Interior Design World
  1. Hanging Draperies too low. Accentuate the ceiling height by placing hardware much taller than the window height.
  2. Over Done. Too much of a good thing can be, well too much. Simple accessories are just fine.
  3. Hanging Art Too High. Hang art work where the center of the piece at eye level.
  4. Karate Chopping Pillows. Leave the karate at the Dojo not on your pillows
  5. Pillow Overdose. Too many throw pillows can look like you are trying too hard to achieve a designer look.
  6. Over Done Window Toppers. Again too much is too much, Swags, cascades, jabots, rosettes…. Too much, all you need are drapery panels, a scarf valance and some beautiful hardware brackets and call it a day.
